Here we are learning about how to harvest the wheat:

Here are some of us grinding the wheat in a mill:

Slow Foods: Popcorn

After we made designs with popcorn seeds, or kernels, we taste tested popcorn using different flavorings. We tried garlic, lemon pepper, cinnamon, curry powder, dill weed, and more!

Try making some popcorn at home using kernels- healthier, cheaper, and more delicious!

Author's Study

This week,we started our Author's Study! Student partners choose a popular children's author and checked out 3 books of their choice by that author. Students are going to study that author's style and bibliography. They will then present the information they learned to the class on a PowerPoint presentation. Slow Foods: Where do eggs come from?
