Reader of the Day

Today we had a student bring a book from home and read it to the class.  Everyday, we will have a student read something that they read or something that they wrote themselves! Students are super excited.

Visit from Mr. Mason and Kai

Today we had a visit from Mr. Mason and his pet snake! We learned a lot of facts about snakes. Here are some facts we learned:

Snakes are reptiles just like lizards. So they lay eggs just like other reptiles. Snakes eat things like mice and they need to eat them whole because they do not have teeth so they cannot chew. They do not see in color like we do, but they see with heat so they can hunt in the dark. Snakes are amazing animals!

Three snakes making a super ball python (do not worry- they won't eat each other!)
