How to Build a Safe Roof

To finish up our Weather and Climate unit, students completed an engineering project. They needed to build a roof that could withstand winds of 140 mph (from a leaf blower) and keep a "feather family of 4" safe inside the house. Students learned firsthand how important your house is in keeping you and your family safe during different weather hazards.
